CDGA Power provides a full design service for off grid and back-up power systems. We produce a System Design Report specific to your installation. For off grid power systems this can include:
- Option analysis, to determine the right off-grid power system for your application
- the expected system performance
- any recommended ancillary works to improve system performance, i.e. removal of trees
- detailed bill of materials
- recommended settings for equipment (i.e. any specific settings for the inverter required to optimise performance for the specific installation)
- recommended maintenance regime for the specified power system
- Lead times for supply of equipment and
- Budget estimates
To assess the site for suitability of solar we use the Solmeteric SunEye 210 device. This allows us to calculate the effects of orientation, tilt and shading (from the existing roof line, surrounding trees or other buildings) and work out average solar energy available to produce electricity, per day, month and year.
